If you needed a sign to bring your fancy gowns to the beach, here it is

Earlier this summer I was invited on a work trip to Neskowin OR with the family I nanny for. They have a private little stretch of beach by Proposal Rock and it is one of my most magical places on Earth. This time around I brought this (regrettably fast fashion from a period in my life when I was not shopping with care) princess gown and a tripod and woke up incredibly early to catch the lowest tides of the year.

Mornings by the ocean, especially the Pacific, have this beautifully lonely quality that I just feel at home in. You feel so pleasantly all alone in the mist. It reminds me of when I was in high school and would wake up at 5 to walk on the beach in Florida and watch the sun rise. I think part of me will always crave being by the ocean since I spent the first 20 years of my life a few minutes away from the beach.
